Aurora - Facing the Pack Summary

Trevize prepares to disembark and straps on two weapons, a blaster that has the power to heat the core of a living being until it explodes and a neuron whip with the power to inflict severe pain for a short period of time. Bliss argues against the need for the weapons, saying that the planet is empty. Trevize won't be swayed and takes them anyway. As the party steps off onto the first planet they encounter, Travize talks of being apprehensive. He does note a number of living things - butterflies, birds, trees and small animals. He considers that he may be apprehensive because he's never been on a deserted planet. He talks of his military experiences, including the use of such planets for naval maneuvers.
