As they begin their approach to the planet, Trevize tells them how he got past the entry point. During the conversation, Pelorat assures Bliss that he has no wife and offers to marry her. Bliss says it's only "Isolates" - her word for those who are not part of Gaia and the collective consciousness - who need that ritual. However, she is outraged once she learns that Trevize also told the guard that she onboard for Pelorat's sexual diversion.
