It was snowing when they reached the camp. Pablo was drunk and told Robert Jordan there would be no bridge, just much snow. The gypsy and Anselmo had not returned and Pablo refused to show Robert Jordan the way. Robert Jordan considered going on his own, but decided to wait or he might miss them on the way.
