Chapter 9 Summary

They stood at the mouth of the cave and watched the planes pass. Maria thinks they look like death, but Pilar tells her they look like planes. They go back into the cave to wait for the planes to pass. Pilar asks if Robert Jordan slept well and asks if he and Maria made love.
