Chapters 1 - 10. Summary

In Chapter 1, London Lane is a sixteen-year-old high school student at Meridan High School. She woke up this morning to find that her red cell phone died sometime during the night. As a result she has no clue what to expect at school today. Her mother tells her not to worry about it, that she can survive without her phone, but London doubts she can. Her phone is programmed with all sorts of important reminders and alarms for different activities and events in her life. London gets to school and realizes she didn't write herself a note to bring proper clothes for gym class. She borrows an embarrassing shirt from Page Thomas, the girl who has a gym locker next to hers, and puts on shorts. A fire alarm goes off in the gym and she has to go outside with...
