Mark Twain

Mark Twain is the pseudonym of Samuel Clemens, the author of the book and the main character. He is living in Paris and decides to go on a round the world lecture tour. Two members of his family decide to travel with him. He is married and has a daughter and is widely traveled and has lived in a variety of places. Twain is known in some places in Australia for his books and this sometimes allows him special treatment, such as in Bendigo. Twain wanted to see a lot of these countries that he had always heard and read about, like India.
