Day Break

Day Break is the name of Dan’s horse rescue. While Dan is out of town, Annemarie is staying in his rundown trailer on the property. She receives a call from a woman named Eugenie asking if the rescue will buy her horse. It is also on this farm that Annemarie saves Maisie and her foal when Annemarie sees the baby is being born in the breech position and helps Maisie deliver her quickly.

Sorrento’s is the name of the restaurant where Dan takes Annemarie for her fortieth birthday dinner. Dan’s surprise is ruined when Annemarie refuses to taste the soufflé in which her engagement ring is baked because she is on a diet.
