Summary

Buckman says that he will forego holding Jason overnight as long as Jason undergoes administrative processing on his way out. After Jason is escorted out of Buckman’s office, Buckman orders constant surveillance on all sixes, especially Heather Hart. In Chapter 18, Jason leaves the police building and is immediately approached by Alys. Alys says that Jason has been implanted with a tracking device and a minuscule, remotely activated explosive device; they were placed there while Jason was being processed. Alys introduces herself as Buckman’s sister, and helps Jason remove the devices, as she says she hates her brother.
