chapters 33 - 41 Summary

Blake explains to his mom that Marissa had a bad day and he asks to use the car to see Shannon, who is also having a bad day because her grandma died. Mrs. Hewson drives him over to her house on the way to visit one of her dying patients at the hospital. Shannon grieves and tells Blake about her grandma. Before Blake leaves, he tells Shannon that he loves her. Shannon misses a few days of school because of the funeral. Blake and Marissa are mostly back to being just friends at school.

Unfortunately, Blake forgot to delete Marissa's nude body photos from his camera and Shannon finds them three weeks later. Shannon realizes that this was the same day that her grandma died. She bolts out of the house and runs faster than Blake, who cannot find her anywhere...
