Summary

Neve is surprised to have an opportunity to see her best friend Bridie. She is an international, traveling theater actress who has been away for a long time. The two catch up at a café where Bridie reveals her life is less glamorous than her letters make it seem. She will be returning to Russia where she will live with a man named Ivan who cheats on Bridie and sees nothing wrong with his abusive speaking. Bridie drinks tea at Neve’s house while Edwyn is home, but the visit is quiet and Bridie does not stay long.
