Part 3: Chapters 13-23 Summary

Teasle wakes confused in his office. Teasle learns from a deputy that he became irrational and was taken to the office to be seen by a doctor who told them Teasle had overdosed on a medication that was both sedative and stimulant.

Teasle takes a call from his wife, who is calling due to news coverage of the search for Rambo. Teasle pushes his wife to tell him if she is coming home and she admits that she wants him to file for divorce.

Teasle finds his shoes and goes out to rejoin the search. Teasle is convinced that Rambo is no longer in the hills, but on his way through town. As Teasle begins to drive away, this thought is confirmed when there is an explosion across town.
