Michelle Knight

Michelle Knight was 21 years old when she was abducted by Ariel Castrol and was held captive for eleven horrific years. Michelle was the eldest child of parents who were dysfunctional and should have never had a child. Michelle had two younger brothers who were twins. At a young age she was forced to be responsible for their care and that of a young cousin who lived with them. Because of the duties surrounding the care of her younger relatives, Michelle missed a lot of school and fell way behind academically. Her parents obviously didn’t care that her school experience was a nightmare for her. She was ridiculed for being older than the other kids in her class, “dumb” and for her diminutive size – as an adult she was only 4’7” in height.
