Summary

On Christmas Eve night in 2006, Castro woke Michelle in the middle of the night. Amanda was in labor and he needed her help. He led Michelle down into the basement. He needed her help carrying up an inflatable plastic swimming pool. He wanted to put it on Amanda’s bed so the mattress wouldn’t be soiled. If the baby didn’t come out alive, he would kill Michelle. She helped Amanda as much as she could. The baby girl was born with a blue face which Michelle knew meant trouble. With Castro yelling threats at her, Michelle put the baby on the mattress and gave her CPR. The baby started crying immediately. Castro made her help him carry the swimming pool out to the backyard.

The baby cried all night. Michelle hoped that someone would hear her cries...
