Summary

Castro announced one Saturday that he was taking Michelle upstairs. She was hoping it meant it was letting her go. It was difficult for Michelle to walk after she’d been chained up for so long. When he opened the door leading to the first floor, the flood of sunlight that filtered in nearly blinded her. She had been in the dark for so long.
