In Lose the Chemise, Violet researches a big project. She says the corporations have figured out what everyone wants due to the feeds, but this makes everyone simpler. Her project is she creates a customer profile that is so confusing none of the corporations can market to it. She and Titus go from store to store and ask for confusing things, but do not purchase any of it. Titus asks her why her father did not come to the moon hospital. She says it is expensive to go to the moon and her father saved up a year to pay for her moon trip. Titus is shocked that traveling to the moon is expensive.
