Chapter 13 Summary

Due to the power failure, Claire has difficulty finding her way home through the portals. She feels lips brush her neck and hears Bishop's mocking laugh, who thanks her for introducing him to his fool (Myrnin). Bishop throws her against a wall and in the darkness she cannot figure out where she is. She finally realizes she is at her parents' new home, packed with boxes marked with the name "CLAIRE." She calls Officer Morrill on her cell phone, asking for a ride to the Glass House. He is in the immediate area so picked her up at once. Claire feels very tired and old, realizing she's going to have to tell Amelie that she left Myrnin alone, at the mercy of Bishop. When they arrive, Amelie is sitting up, a little improved.
