Chapters 11 Summary

The Glass House, where the roommates live, had portals enabling quick access to other places in Morganville, such as the other Founder Houses and the prison where Myrnin has his laboratory. Claire has come to think of it as the Impossible Travel Network. One of the doorways leads to Amelie's castle where the masked ball is to take place. Myrnin takes Claire through the portal via what looks like a janitor's closet. As they are being teleported, Myrnin starts speaking gibberish, an indication that the serum is wearing off. Claire gives him an injection with a syringe she is carrying. After a moment of uncertainty, he begins to come back to normal.
