Summary

In Chapter 12, Hel continued to follow Ayanna Donaldson, tracking her to a reading at a book store where she overheard her tell Teresa Klay she filed the restraining order against Hel. Back at home, Vikram asked Hel what happened between her and Dr. Oliveira, and then tried to get her to talk about Jonas. Hel told Vikram she lost The Pyronauts, then accused him of shutting off an important part of his own life by never discussing Ezra Sleight or the other things that were significant to him in the old universe. Vikram stormed out, and Hel reflected on Sleight's life in the house in Brownsville.

In an interview transcript, a woman named Stormie Urdaneta explained that she had gotten in the habit of telling elaborate lies to non-UDPs when they asked her about life in the other universe...
