Chapter 15 Summary

Captain Stewart is volunteering them everywhere in order to make Major. Simpson gets in a fight with him about it. The squad goes out for another patrol in Tam Ky, the deep boonies and Gearhart's decision saves their lives. They were setting up an ambush, but Gearhart never gives them the go-signal. Moments later more Charlie are there and Perry realizes that there are far too many. If they had tried to ambush they would have all been killed.

The squad goes out on another patrol, which is actually a sweep. The entire Company is walking through the area, looking for signs of Charlie. They find the enemy when they get to a hill and are fired at. There are too many. Brew gets hit and Perry gets hit. As they run away, someone picks Perry up and carries him out.
