Summary

Film producer Randy Dildough waits for Abe Bronstein to arrive for a meeting. Narration alternating between present and past tenses describes, in considerable detail, the development of increasingly extreme sexual tastes during his adolescence, including the humiliation of a young lesbian named Nancellen. Narration also summarizes everything he did to gain power and influence in the film industry, even as he strove for more and more sexual excitement, particularly when it came to having sexually dominant relationships with men; and how, finally, he thinks he might be ready to actually have a friend.
