Book 2, Canto 2 Summary

Guyon takes the baby to a nearby fountain to wash it and is stunned to discover that the blood won't come off the child's hands. The Palmer explains that the fountain is a transformed nymph (who preferred being a fountain to be ravished by Faunus) whose waters cannot be made impure. The three continue on foot (Guyon's horse has vanished) to a castle where three sisters live.
