Chapters 11-13 Summary

Kinsey returns to the motel and changes in order to go for a run. Afterward, Kinsey showers and goes in search of Shana Timberlake. Kinsey tells Shana who she is and is reluctantly allowed into Shana's tiny cottage apartment. Shana has clearly been drinking, a result of the morning's excitement. Shana leaves Kinsey in the kitchen and goes into the bathroom to be sick before taking a shower. As Kinsey waits, she washes the dishes and straightens the slovenly kitchen area, searching through the mail as she does. The only thing of interest to Kinsey is what appears to be a card mailed from the Los Angeles area. However, the envelope is sealed so Kinsey does not have the opportunity to read the contents.
