Chapters 5-7 Summary

With time to kill, Kinsey decides to go to the high school. Kinsey stops in the school's library and looks through the group of yearbooks that cover the years Jean attended the school. Kinsey finds only a few pictures of Jean, each one showing a reclusive, sober girl. Kinsey makes a list of Jean's classmates, hoping to interview people who knew her in order to get a better feel for the circumstances of her life. Kinsey then goes to the principal's office. The principal, Dwight Shales, is the same principal who was at the school seventeen years ago when Jean attended the school. Kinsey introduces herself and asks if he remembers Jean.
