Chapters 41 - 45 Summary

A meeting takes place in the royal court of Delain at the base of the Needle, a tower, which at the top holds a suite of two rooms to house royal prisoners. Anders Peyna oversees the meeting that is convened in order to decide if Peter should stand trial. However, Anders Peyna has already decided that Peter is guilty, and everyone in the room knows it. Flagg watches the meeting. Peyna informs Peter that he is already king even though they have not had an official ceremony. This makes the proceedings difficult because a king cannot be tried for murder, but the murder took place before Peter was king. Peyna asks Peter to set aside the crown so they can fairly decide his guilt or innocence. Peyna says that if Peter.....
