Chapters 7 - 8 Summary

Before their wedding, Roland learned that Sasha had an old dollhouse from her childhood that she was afraid she would miss when she became married. Roland had another dollhouse created for her, a most incredible dollhouse with miniature appliances that really worked. Roland presented this dollhouse to Sasha on their wedding day hoping the dollhouse would help her feel at home and help her forget her old dollhouse. Sasha was delighted with the dollhouse, but she rarely played with it because she had simply grown too old for children's toys. Peter, even though he had thousands of toys, discovers the dollhouse and plays with it often. After Sasha's death, Flagg suggests to Roland that it is not appropriate for a young boy to play with a girl's toy. Roland thinks about.....
