Summary

Thomas is a thirty-five-year-old writer whose mother lives with him. Recently, his mother became the caretaker of a young psychopath. The girl called herself Star Drake, but her real name was Sarah Ham. She had been arrested for passing bad checks, but she was also a sociopath who used Thomas’s mother.
