"Out of Season" Summary

A young couple is staying at a hotel on the Italian side of the Italy-Germany border. Peduzzi, the gardener, has arranged to take the two of them on a fishing trip. This trip is illegal and there is the potential that the gamekeeper will arrest the group. The couple and Peduzzi do not understand each other. The couple does not enjoy the trip. The wife gives up and returns to the hotel. Peduzzi and the husband have no success in fishing. Peduzzi tries to convince the husband to try again the next day, but the husband tries to get out of it.
