Murtagh Summary

Eragon wakes from his unconsciousness, and his mind begins to clear. A moment later, he is able to speak to Saphira and ask her whether she is injured and who has started the fire and released her from her chains. Eragon looks up and sees a young man standing in his camp. Wearing ragged clothing and holding a small sword and a bow, the young man watches Saphira closely. Eragon asks him who he is, and he answers that his name is Murtagh.

Murtagh tells Eragon that he was tracking the Ra'zac. Eragon stands up but is felled by the pain in his ribs from the Ra'zac's kick. He asks Murtagh about Brom and learns that Brom is doing very badly. Murtagh looks at Eragon's ribs and tells him that he has two ribs or.....
