Deathwatch Summary

Eragon dreams of people on horses who arrive at a river to board a ship. They have silver hair and carry tall lances. One of the people lets out a long cry into the air, and in the dream, Eragon can see dragons in the sky.

Eragon wakes to find himself in a hut with the healer, Gertrude, asleep nearby. Eragon asks about Garrow, and she tells him that the wounds are not healing. Gertrude insists that Eragon eat and tells him that his fever broke the night before. He asks her how long he has been in the hut, and she tells him that he has been there for 2 days. Eragon worries that Saphira has been on her own for this long.
