Family

Family is a major theme through the novel “Emma’s Secret” by Steena Holmes. The concept of family includes mutual love, loyalty, compassion, concern, and emotional and physical support between individuals. Those individuals may or may not be blood-related, but they behave and operate in the structure of the traditional family unit. In this instance, family is blood-related. Together, they are facing the return of Emma to the family unit. Emma was kidnapped at the age of three. She is returning two years later at age five.
