Kinrich

Kinrich is the small, friendly town where Peter, Megan, and their family live. It is the family where Emma first disappears from when she leaves her house without her mother's knowledge. It is where the doughnut shop is located, as well as Brewster's Bakery. Peter takes Emma to the doughnut shop in Kinrich to see Jack as often as he can.

Hanton

Hanton is a neighboring town to Kinrich, which most of the friends of Jack and Dottie are buried. It appears to be a relatively small and rural town. Jack and Dottie's farm is somewhere between Hanton and Kinrich. It is between Hanton and Kinrich that Emma lives with Jack and Dottie until she is found by the neighbors and recovered by the police.
