Summary

In Chapter 2, when Scott called Bob to ask if he had eaten at Holy Frijole yet, Bob asked about Scott’s weight. Scott reported he was down to 204 but insisted that he did not want to be scrutinized. Scott was irritated when Bob referred to Holy Frijole as the restaurant “your lesbian neighbors run” (47). He suggested there was more to Missy and Deirdre than just their sexual orientation. Bob agreed to try out the restaurant Friday night since his wife, Myra, would be out of town.

On Friday as Scott drove himself and Bob to the restaurant, Bob admitted he had wanted to wait until Myra was out of town to go to Missy and Deirdre’s restaurant because Myra was offended by their way of life.
