Georgia Ford

Georgia Ford is the protagonist of the story. She is a young woman with a new career at a law firm in Los Angeles. Georgia selected a law career because she grew up on her family's vineyard in Sonoma County where life was very volatile and she wanted something more logical and controllable. While working at the law firm, Georgia met a handsome architect named Ben and they fell in love.

However, Georgia's world is shattered a week before her wedding when she learns that Ben has a young daughter he has never told her about.
