Summary

In Chapter 23, “The Vintner Drinks Alone,” Georgia returns to her parents' house but everyone is asleep so she heads to her father's cottage where she finds her father sitting on the porch drinking wine. Dan has been studying his spreadsheets about dates for harvesting the last of the grapes. Dan and Georgia talk about her inability to separate her angst over what is happening with Ben and the family's sale of the vineyard. Dan thinks that people should fight sometimes—especially for what really matters.
