Summary

In Chapter 37, “Gambling for Redemption,” Tara woke herself screaming after unconsciously running out of her apartment into the street, dreaming that her father trapped her in a maze on Buck’s Peak. Over time, she slowly withdrew herself from her activities and stopped studying altogether. She wanted to change her mind about her father’s blessing and impulsively bought a flight home for Christmas. She dreamt she was stabbed by Shawn and that Drew begged her not to go. She arrived as her mother milled in the kitchen. Tara excused herself to write a promised email to Drew and she found a sent email from her mother to Erin, deeming Tara a danger to the family. Erin agreed with Tara’s mother despite their past conversation.
