Chapter 12 Summary

By 5 a.m., Alisa is freaking out because she needs to get home and does not know where Hunter and Daniel are. Just as she tries to decide whether she should start walking, they return and apologize for taking so long. Hunter explains what happened, warning it was especially hard on Morgan who is waiting outside to drive Alisa home. He guesses there will not be a dark wave now, so Alisa will not need to torture herself with the spell anymore. Outside, Morgan looks horrible too, and Alisa apologizes for tonight and for how she has treated Morgan for the past couple months. Morgan drops Alisa off down the street so Dad will not hear the car, and turning to see tears on Morgan's face, all Alisa can think to say is sorry.
