Chapter 3 Summary

Feeling Hunter's presence, Morgan goes outside and learns that Hunter has just come from a meeting with the council where he learned that Ciaran dismantled the watch sigil two weeks ago and has not been seen since. Morgan is furious that the council did not alert them since Morgan put the watch sigil on Ciaran, and Hunter agrees that the council seems to have forgotten that they cannot act with impunity since they have an obligation to the witches they represent. Though Hunter and Morgan have not felt Morgan, they assume he is nearby and will visit Morgan, so Hunter insists on vigilance. Deciding to scry again, Morgan sneaks Hunter inside before her parents get home, nearly running into Alisa who is rushing out of the house, and this causes Morgan to lament the odd things that seem to happen around Alisa.
