Chapter 2 Summary

Carmen tells Reacher that it is no accident that she has picked him up. In fact, she admits to having trolled the area searching for someone who fit her criteria and might be willing to help her. After talking to him for a short time, she is sure that he might be that man. Reacher is on guard and already sorry he didn't have breakfast and wait for a ride from an anonymous truck driver.
