Summary

The next section, "Day Six, Thursday, June 9th," opens from Kelton's perspective. Kelton is furious with Henry for telling Alyssa he had once spied on her. Kelton now feels that he could hurt Henry again, dislocating his other shoulder or something else, if he has a reason. Kelton believes that Henry telling Alyssa about the drone is karma, and does not merit retaliation, though he does not trust Henry. They agree they cannot open the AquaViva box while in sight of Charity's group without sharing the water. Once they are on their way again, Henry refuses to stop, saying they will soon arrive at the bug-out. Garrett agrees and “since no one wants to show less self-control than a ten-year-old, we all accept it” (302). They listen to the news and hear reports of another effort at desalination machines.
