The Prince of Ebon Rih - Chapters 1-5 Summary

"The Prince of Ebon Rih" is the story of how Saetan's son, Lucivar, falls in love with his housekeeper, Marian. The story opens with Lucivar naked in his new garden, talking to his kindred wolf friend, Tassle. Suddenly, women from the village arrive, and start to clean his house despite his protests. His father comes to visit during this, and suggests that Lucivar hire a housekeeper to keep the unwanted women away.

Back at his Hall, Saetan thinks about a bad experience he had with his wife and another of his sons long ago. Peyton wanted to marry a girl who had become convinced that she was "beneath" him and his social status, due to Hekatah's interference.
