Chapter 21 Summary

The doctor finds Renfield lying in a pool of blood with his neck and back broken. His face appears to have been beaten. Renfield manages to tell Seward, Van Helsing, Arthur and Morris of Dracula's visit to him in the night, describing how the Count conjured all kinds of beasts and creatures and slipped into Renfield's room through cracks around the window. He says that he smelled Mina's scent on Dracula, and then Mina herself appeared, looking very pale. Finally, Dracula gripped him and raised him up high before flinging him down.
