Double Whammy

A double whammy is a fishing lure used to catch bass.

Lunkers and Hawgs

Lunker and hawgs are large bass. A lunker is a large bass, but a hawg is an award-winning size bass.

Fishing Poles

There are a great variety of fishing poles, ranging from cheap to expensive. Most of the tournament participants prefer expensive poles while Skink favors cheaper, garage-sale type poles.

Boats

Most of the tournament participants own and use large, expensive power boats to fish, many of which have been won in previous tournaments. Skink uses a cheap boat that Jim and Al find themselves using in the Dickie Lockhart Memorial Bass Tournament. It is in this boat that Al and Jim find themselves trapped when the engine dies.
