Chapter 25 Summary

Garcia is at Skink's cabin, trying to get along in the outdoors without frightening himself when he thinks of the wild animals prowling the woods around him. Skink is recovering from his wounds, although he has lost his left eye. Skink has replaced the eye with a fake eye from a stuffed owl, giving him a wild look. Skink takes Garcia out on the lake and catches a net full of small fish. Skink then pats the water and feeds the fish to a very large bass. Skink introduces the bass to Garcia as Queenie and shows Garcia how to feed her, telling him Queenie would be a world record catch in a bass tournament.
