School

School is where Greg attends class every day and learns about the Balloon Brigade Contest. Greg realizes his only chance to get some candy before Halloween will be to win the contest, which he manages to do. School is also where Greg joins band, attends band practice several times a week, and later gets locked out of the autumn band concert. It is where Greg’s Dad finds him and Rowley attempting to fix Greg’s ripped pants problem, and where Greg’s Dad thinks they are doing nothing but goofing off.
