Summary

It is now November. At school, Greg is being teased by the guys in the woodwind section for being a “momma’s boy” after the Halloween party. When Greg considers quitting the band, Greg’s Dad tells him he must remain committed. Greg has no choice. The day of the big fall school concert arrives. Greg hopes he will be able to piggyback off of Evan Pittman, who also plays the French horn, just as Greg has been doing all along at practice. But Evan is getting his braces off, and so will miss the concert. As everyone heads out onto the stage, Greg and Rowley both end up locked off stage.
