Chapter 18 Summary

Lorelei questions April on why she knowingly let Vamp put them in the closet. April explains the 'Brer Rabbit' tactic in that she knows the closets have trapdoors leading up to the attic as Jason and his friends often play there. April makes her way into the attic but has to feel around, as it is pitch black. Luckily, she finds a flashlight that Jason and his friends kept in the attic for playtimes. With the flashlight she is able to see the other trapdoors. She tries to imagine where Vamp is in the house and decides the safest escape route is through Jason's bedroom.
