Chapter 11 Summary

The next day April is surprised when George announces they are going on a mini-vay. He has decided the family needs an escape from the pressure and is planning to take them to Disney World and Epcot Center. At first April is resistant and blames her dad for getting them into "this mess." George explains that he has always wanted to feel like a hero. When he was growing up, he was the sort of child that other kids beat up on and Max, who looked out for him, was the only one who would save him. He tells of how he met Liz while working at a ski resort shop and they fell in love. He talked her into eloping, after which her parents almost disowned her. Eventually Liz's father came around.....
