Summary

Chapter 13. April decides to go home to Virginia. She tells her parents that she is spending the weekend at Kim’s house and uses the money from the sale of her furniture to purchase a plane and a bus ticket. She calls Steve to meet her at the airport and calls her grandmother to ask to live with her. Lorelei discourages the idea and tells April to go back to her parents. She disobeys and flies back to Virginia anyway. Steve meets her at the airport.

Chapter 14. Steve drives April over to her grandmother’s house. On the way he confirms that he and Sherry have started dating. He also tells her that he didn’t receive her letter. This makes April a little uneasy, but she rationalizes that there could be several reasons why Steve didn’t receive her letter.
