Chapter 6 Summary

Max and the Corrigans drive to a motel in Williamsburg and are thrilled to find George waiting. Unfortunately, there is more bad news. As there are appeals in progress, George may have to re-testify, meaning they will all remain in danger during the process. Max tells them about the Federal Witness Security Program. April, Bram, and Liz are very upset as the program is explained, as they do not want to give up their old lives. April especially does not want to give up Steve. She tries to persuade her father that the man who tried to break in the hotel was probably just trying to scare them but Max explains he is one of the most notorious hitmen in the country.
