Summary

Chapter 7. After Mike Vamp tries to find the family by contacting Lorelei with a fake movie offer for one of Mrs. Corrigan’s books, the family begins their trip to their new home. April is told she has to cut off her long hair. She initially refuses, but her desires are overridden and she travels to the airport with hair that has been cut short with a pair of nail scissors. The family travels separately and under assumed names (Freeman and Gross).

The family is moving to Florida and will become Philip and Ellen Weber, who have two children Valerie and Jason. While they are on the plane April meets Abby Keller, a girl of her own age who is travelling to spend the summer with her dad and his new wife.
